LtCol, we (well, I) would like you to explain why you feel this individual - Tom Sizemore - is the person best equipped to play you. With reference to best equipped; did the Whizzinator clinch the deal for you?

Well, when I get up after an evening with Jack Daniels, I bear an uncanny physical resemblance to Tom Sizemore especially before I shave Smile

Seriously, Sizemore has never been given the credit he deserves for his on-screen activity (the less said about his off-screen activity the better). His role has always been as a supporter or in a cast of admittedly better actors and is smothered by their egos and reputations.

Out of the 18 or so Movies I've seen Sizemore in there are three characters from which he could meld performances together and get a pretty good feel for the movie version of Colonel Creedon.

These are:

Lt. Owen Underwood from Dreamcatcher, an officer who follows the orders of his superiors even if it's exterminating civilians who may be compromised by Alien influence. Yet morally competent enough to destroy his superiors by blowing up their helicopters if necessary.

Lt.Col. Danny McKnight (a real person)http://www.dannymcknight.com/index.htm in Black Hawk Down for command "style".

And last but not least would be Technical Sergeant Michael Horvath from Saving Privite Ryan for just encapsulating valour.

So I think Sizemore already has some of the most unique insights into what it would take to be me.

Ah LtCol, you dodged the Whizzinator issue. Still, as you said, the less said about his off-screen activity the better.
But on-screen ... how about his porn films? Were any of those in the 18? Smile
Did these help him win the role - or don't we need any more details? Smile

I deny seeing Tom in any such productions and I'm not counting TV reappearances.

For the record I've seen him in Lock Up, Born on the Fourth of July, Flight of the Intruder, Point Break, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, Passenger 57*, True Romance*, Striking Distance*, Strange Days, Heat*, The Relic, Saving Private Ryan*, Enemy of the State*, Red Planet, Pearl Harbor*, Ticker*, Black Hawk Down* and Dreamcatcher*.

* = In my (DVD-War Winning) DVD Collection

Sizmore eats alot of cake. He's not the best person to have chasin those iraqi's across the desert!!

Anyway i still cant understand why in "Heat" he got out of his chair during the cafe scene with Gringo and then sat back down in it again 5 seconds later. Still makes no sense!

I'm pretty sure his recent legal troubles are just 'research' for some upcoming role.

Or maybe he just likes communal showers, but then, who doesn't?

God, I miss the Scouts . . .
