Anybody else watch this? If not, you're missing one of the greatest shows in the history of television. Easily dismissed as a spoof of Johnny Quest, but so much more.

Is this one of those animated shows that they show on Adult Swim? You are so in their favorite demographic, Bruce Russell.

No, I haven't seen it. But I did record Primeval and I'm partway through that one.

Constance, you'd like it, too! I was glad to hear Mark give it his seal of approval in Episode 59 . . .

Um, yeah... I saw an ad for it, and I admit I thought it looked cool Smile

I also like Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I like to sing along with the theme song.

I will not be listening to Episode 59 anytime soon as I have managed to lose my networking at home and will have to haul my stupid laptop someplace that has wireless in order to fetch it.

Grr. On the up side, I've gotten a whole lot of other things done! Maybe I shouldn't spend so much time computing...

I couldn't agree more, Bruce. The Venture's are a cut above the standard drug-fueled Adult Swim fare (not that there's anything wrong with that). There's a story arc, character development and even a over arching theme!

Anyone who has spent any time with comics, scifi and the rest will get a chuckle out of it.

So are you pro- or anti-moppet?

I can take or leave the murderous moppets. As minor characters go, I find the boys at Conjectural Technologies pretty entertaining. Pete White's accent reminds me of growing up in New England.

Due to a very hectic couple weeks at work I am late to the newst podcast and this thread!

I have been raving about this show since season 1. This is my favorite cartoon of all times, and even wanted to start a podcast on it, but found it hard to find someone as "enthused" as I am about it.

For those of you who do not know, it is a modern day satire/spoof of older cartoons like Johnny Quest and Scooby-Doo (even referencing them) among other shows. But it is modern and hilarious.

I cannot say how much I love this show.

I like the dynamic (and their obssesion with knives) the moppets bring, but I feel are one dimensional.

The real question.... Henchman 21 vs Henchmen 24... who wins?

It's so great, and yet none of you felt it worthwhile to mention that Patrick Warburton voices the main character? I totally love that guy.

I only saw the one episode, but I'll be recording it. It's good. I re-watched it while I was lying home sick on the couch.

It's a fantastic voice acting performance. He's got quiet exasperation down pat.

"Go ahead. . . .Take it from me!"

You need to get the DVDs and watch em in order. It is not sitcom-like. The show has story-lines that cary over and plot devices, and all that stuff.

tewhill, you are absolutely right. He's been great in other things, but maybe this is just a better role for him. The Tick is kinda, well, not smart and Joe Swanson is not my favorite character. I loved him in Men in Black II. He didn't have much screen time, but I was looking forward to seeing him as an MIB agent. Plus that whole being handsome thing doesn't hurt him.

I'm a little bummed that we don't seem to have the Venture Bros. DVD at all at the library.

There's always Santa Claus, Constance. The season 3 finale is this weekend, so that should be available for the holidays.

Be good.

The finale is awesome! I will not spoil anything, and only say NOOOOOO!

Was anyone aware they were doing tshirt sales based on the episode of the week? I ordered a Venture Industries shirt.

http://www.astrobasego.com/shirtoftheweek.html

Going the Astro Base Go homepage will also have a link for past shirts for viewing, although not for availability.

Firstly, I hate December. You won't see me from Thanksgiving until well into the New Year. Any communications will be done via message in a bottle from my seat in the sand in Mexico.

Secondly, good? You couldn't find a more uptight chick if you tried.

Thirdly, I miss the OC. Give it a big ol' smooch from me.
