Long time listener, first time caller, er, poster.
Life long Bostonian, currently in job related exile behind the curtain in Orange County, California. It's funny to read all this discussion about trips to Disney. I live about four freeway exits away from Disneyland. I could go there on my lunch hour if I really wanted to, and it never even occurs to me to actually do it.
I for one think the monthly interval is a good idea, though expectations length and quality are going up. Also, I miss the opening disclaimer of "Listener discretion is advised." It never failed to make me laugh out loud.

Welcome!
Boston, MA, eh? Almost got sent there by work for 6 weeks. Unfortunately, ALMOST is the key phrase and I was left in Cork. Oh well.
Are you a long-time listener?

About a year ago, just before I moved out the left coast, I was listening to a lot of different podcasts across the geekery spectrum. 2igtv is the one I keep coming back to. I probably checked in at around episode 30.
Boston is a good town. I've taken to referring to it as the "olde county" now that I'm in SoCal. Everything here has that 'just out the wrapper' feel. Not bad, just different.

Ah, the City of Angels . . .
As the line goes, 'like Rome without all the ruins' . . .

It is pouring down rain, cold, and dark here in Pittsburgh. I have to put in my earbuds just to keep the sound of the constant dripping out of my mind. I finally had 15 minutes to log on and look! how nice to have people to catch up on... except that apparently they are only posting to torture me!
Now I'm fantasizing about Southern California, driving fast down Pacific Coast Highway in a red convertible Mustang with the top down. It's so sunny I have to squint. Of course, I've one eye on the road and the other on the ocean.
I miss it! My boogie board is collecting dust in the basement. My rash guard is crumpled up in the drawer with the other unseasonable items I've not worn in too long. You all can keep San Francisco. I'll take Huntington Beach any day.
Oh, and before I forget: howdy tewhill. I'm constance. Thanks for the mental vacation

It was sunny today, but something less than warm. 60's F today, 50's in the evening.
Perversely, you cease to enjoy the long strings of beautiful days after a few months here. I call it "the land of no weather". You don't check the weather report. You don't own and umbrella. You might wear a light sweater at most. But you never find yourself saying, "Wow, what a great day!" It's like a white noise machine.
