Today we mark the passage of one of history's great men, the legendary Martin Luther King, Jr. I always mark the occasion with a listen to 'Pride (In The Name of Love),' followed by a viewing of the X-Files episode, 'Musings of a Cigarette-Smoking Man.' Powerful TV that. I agree with the CSM: If King had been white, he'd have been a Caesar.
Unless you're a backwoods hick racist like that drip that did him in, I don't think you can hear King's speeches without getting chilled to your very soul. Please take some time today and remember this shining beacon of hope and courage, and ask yourself: what is my dream, is it a worthy one, and what have I done to make it a reality?
