The brand new SG1 movie hits the streets today. Should be awesome sauce ladeled heavily over boss sausage. I'll post more here later, after I've seen it . . .

I preferred it to Ark Of Truth. It's great to see O'Neill again, even for a short while. Be sure to wear your time-travel paradox cap while watching.

Firstly: Bruce, when did Stargate ever have nudity?
Secondly: Will you please explain how one minute you can be all "My wife is totally awesome" and all "I think I saw some side boob!" the next? I get such a headache trying to figure that one out...

"ACTING!"

Remember John Lovitz's "Master Thespian" character? Anybody?

My wife IS totally awesome. She is, dare I say, "the bomb-diggity, yo."

As Bruce was obviously too preoccupied with his wife (as he should be) to answer your question, you must allow me...

Stargate SG-1 was originally produced by Showtime for the first 5 years, not the most wholesome or family oriented of networks I'm sure you'll agree. In a bid to wow the targeted demographic to their new Sci-Fi show, Showtime added gratuitous full frontal nudity in the pilot episode in the form of Daniel Jackson's wife Sha're when she was being possessed by a Gou'uld.
The episode was originally aired with this scene, but not subsequently and it has been permanently cut for syndication. It is however retained on all known DVD versions of the pilot making it the only episode to carry an R rating in the US, 18 here and in the UK and M in Australia.

I enjoyed this movie. I hoped they would have dealt with the "alternate" timeline more, but I thought this was the best of the two straight-to-dvd releases.

Constance, what is up with your recent Stargate slump? Setting the bar too high? First you stopped on Atlantis. This season is very good. And now, not liking Continuum... for shame.

I feel pretty much exactly like Duffman. It was okay, I was hoping for more. At least I watched the whole thing, though. (I only made it through the first 43 minutes of Transformers. I paused it, looked at the time, and was all "Where the hell are the transforming robots???" )

Stargate needed more O'Neill, more F-16s, less convenient "oh, the sub showed up 30 minutes after you left."

Therefore... bleah.

Both of these straight to DVD "Movies" sucked. Just let it rest in peace and bring on the SG: Universe!
