Have any of you read this book or heard of this author? It sounds like the author is British.

"Written by cult gaming writer Jonny Nexus, Game Night is written in the English humour tradition of two of his favourite authors, the Discworld's Terry Pratchett, and the Hitchhiker's Guide's Douglas Adams."

Since there was mention of Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, and also Red Dwarf in relation to this book, I thought I'd ask. We don't have it at the library. Which is not exactly an anti-endorsement, but it isn't a good sign, either.

So, maybe if someone who lives in... oh let's say... England? and who reads books, maybe if such a person were to read the free first chapter he could possibly report back on whether or not it is any good? Maybe?

I've read the first few pages some where on the net (Amazon??). It is very much in the tradition of Prachett/Adams, for what that's worth. In this case, the players in the game group are a pantheon of gods. Can't say I was motivated to buy. It's the kind of comic writing that wants to get a laugh in every paragraph. That's awful hard to do well.
