Does anyone out there still play any games more than a couple of years old?
I'm thinking things like:
- Starcraft
- Any Unreal titles upto 2004
- Original Half-Life
- Quake (1 or 2)
- Jedi Knight/Outcast/Academy
Or am I the only sad freak still playing such things?

I still play a lot of Emulated games. C64, Sega, NES, etc...
You can beat a good game of Monkey Island _________________ Duffman's pension has been mis-managed...ooooh yeah!

I use the wii store quite a bit to buy classic Nintendo games for bargain-basement prices.
Just downloaded Super Mario Brothers III this past weekend. Nostalgia city, man.
I've also got Pac-Man, Mario Brothers, Super Mario Brothers 1 & 2, etc., on my wii desktop.
And of course. World of Warcraft is three years old . . . _________________ ***

Knights of the Old Republic must be closing in on 4 by now! Was it just me, or did Darth Malak roll over just a little too easily?
(its good that Firefox knows the word DARTH!)

A tad, yes.
I thought Darth Sion was actually harder in KotOR 2 for some reason even though it was a marginally inferior game.
Relevant to the topic though, I still play a lotta old stuff, you know, Donkey Kong Country, FFIV and Kirby on SNES often, And my absolute favourite game of all time: Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon on N64. (The first one, not the weird sequel) _________________ "I'm gonna find that abomination of nature, step on its neck, and shoot it in the head, cos that's how I roll."

KotOR 2 was hilarious, you're practically a Jedi God at the end!
I was walking into rooms with 4 guys called "Sith Master" and the Lightning ability was so overpowered they didn't get to do anything (including move!) before they died and left me goodies on the floor
I'm actually sad enough to still play games on MAME - Street Fighter, etc. On a conversion front, did anyone try the Classic Doom mod for Doom 3? (basically a remake of Knee-Deep in the Dead) It brings back a few memories to say the least

You can wash off the blood, you can hose out the entrails, but you can't erase the memories . . . _________________ ***

Well I got Galaga 3 ... don't play it much though.
R-Type? Thundercross? Sideways scrolling shoot-em-ups, anyone?

KOTOR 1 is fabulous, but Diablo II is my choice for an older game of a couple of years. But if we go way back - I did just come across an xbox version of Street Figher II which I have been wasting an afternoon or two on recently.

Ah, we all have our guilty little pleasures - the Lt.Col will probably admit to still playing X-Wing/T.I.E Fighter on occasion, I'm sure!
Did anyone else disappear into Baldur's Gate? When that was new, I was playing 4-5 hours a day for months - my fighter cleaned up!

Funny enough, one of the Sunday School teachers and I were having our coffee after the Christmas Eve service and she asked the same question! We both admitted to enjoying a good game of Frogger.
And if I could find the Neverhood again, I would still be playing it. Best game ever!
