Hey everybody,

Unlike most people here, I only somewhat recently found the 2IGTV podcast and was annoyed with myself for not seeking this gem out sooner.
Despite owning an ipod for a good 3 years now, it only recently occured to me to bother finding some podcasts and came across 2IGTV after typing in the keyword "Scifi" into the Itunes podcast search engine.
It figures that the second I got hooked on 2IGTV was at the same time that the Colonel and Mark decided to make it monthly *kicks self*

I search for stuff like Scifi-related podcasts as I am an avid fan of the genre and, as mentioned in my profile, I'm a videostore clerk and am often the only person who rents from the "Scifi/fantasy" shelf in my store.

Other than that, I am a university student finishing my BA in Athropology and am about to start a new program geared towards Web Design (woohoo).

Welcome mokara of The Great White North eh! We'll forgive you for not being a fan earlier. Just make sure you catch up and listen to the old episodes of the great 2IGTV! Prepare for glory! Wink

Heh heh, I'm from the English part of the French Province. I only included the "Quebec" bit because writing "Montreal, Canada" would have looked a little weird. Smile

Believe me, i tried. I think Ciaran said in one of the podcasts that due to the "Mac Explosion" incident, a whole bunch of old 2igtv episodes were now no longer available Sad

Hey there!

Ooh, you're a video clerk? You like sci fi? Here's a short story by Tim Pratt for you, nominated for a Hugo. It's called Impossible Dreams.

I guess it was either web design or the food service, eh?

On another note, that's another reason Constance is one of my faves: she actually knows things like which stories are nominated for the Hugo Award(s).

Thanks for the link! It was a great story (definately Hugo material). I rarely read short stories online (I've got a dozen short story scifi books on my bookshelf that I'm working through), in fact the last online one I read was on scifi.com (of all places), it's a creepy little story called "Fear of Strangers"

Heh heh, and here I was thinking that I'd be safe choosing a name that was related to a type of hybrid flowers
