When I was in London with Mark last week, we looked in Forbidden Planet and we saw 4th Ed. I looked at the Paladin immediately as I have little interest in anything else and I noticed that he appeared more durable from the outset and held a lot of radiant attacks as if he was able to channel the power of the gods etc. This seems to be more like the Paladin I dream of as opposed to the character that ends up in the game. I'm not sure about him not being restricted to Lawful Good however, that was a necessary restriction for the class- there has to be some disadvantage or they'll turn out like the nonsense "Paladin"s in WOW.

Yeah, the Paladins of WoW are more like old-school D&D clerics.
The new mechanics really add a good deal of flavor. I'd love to try the Warlord class.
