AICN has a link up to the David Tennant-Peter Davison team-up for the BBC's Children In Need telethon. Worth a watch, especially for some of the quips. Example, paraphrased:
Davison's Doctor: So, does the Master still have a beard?
Tennant's Doctor: No. Well, he has a wife.
Tee-hee!
Anyway, according to AICN, here's the episode rundown for season 4.
1) Unspecified aliens on modern-day Earth, which leads a certain Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) tracking down the man who saved her on her wedding day…
2) Planet of the Ood.
3) Pompeii/Vesuvius eruption episode – can the Doctor and Donna stand by and watch the destruction without warning the inhabitants of the doomed town?
4) Return of the Sontarons, as well as Martha Jones (http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/gallery/sontarans/) part one of two
5) Sontarons, part two of two
6) The team meet Agatha Christie, this series’ historical figure
7) Not confirmed, maybe return of the daleks?
Part 1 of a new two-parter, maybe the return of the Master?
9) Part 2 of a new two-parter
10) Doctor-lite episode, hopefully more Blink than Love & Monsters
11) Not confirmed, maybe build-up to grand finale like Utopia
12) Grand finale part one, rumoured to feature the return of Davros (possibly played by Ben Kingsley), as well as returns from Captain Jack, Sarah-Jane and K9. And the kitchen sink, presumably.

Weren't there rumours that the Sontarans were returning in series 3?
Instead we got The Master (did any of his plans actually ever work?!).
What I do like is how they manage to find a stream of cute actresses who make one-shot appearences to whet our appetites (or maybe just mine?).

C, I think he just means that he likes the hot guest-stars.
Anyone have tips on how I can watch the Christmas special in the states? Anybody willing to burn a region-free copy and send it to me after it airs? You'd earn the thanks of a grateful nation.

Are there no limits to the wonders of this 'information superhighway'?
So I hear a certain former companion will be back for a 'surprise' three-episode arc this coming season. Yay!

Bruce, by Christmas special do you mean the episode with Catherine Tate? Isn't her wedding day like, Christmas Eve or somesuch? If that is the one you're referring to, it aired on BBCAmerica and I saw it. It might even air again.

Welcome back, Constance!
I think Bruce was referring to the 2007 Christmas special, not the 2006 one (which is on BBC1 later this week I think).
Not much of a Catherine Tate fan myself, not sure how she's going to work out?!
Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you, sithy! It is good to be back.
Correct me if I am wrong... do I understand that Catherine Tate is known for sketch comedy? Sort of like that "Little Britain" show (which is narrated by Tom Baker)? If the Doctor is a wise-cracking smartass, and she is similarly inclined, who will be the straight man?
Tate isn't as full-on gorgeous as Martha, but I think that she will hold up her end of the deal in the tenacious category. As for fearless, resourceful, and kick-ass, we shall have to see what the writers have in store for us.
I was delighted to see John Simm as the Master. I think he's cute :)

So how was the 2007 Christmas Special?
Bride and I watched all of the Chris Eccleston season over the holiday, and I'd forgotten how good those were.
Can't believe we may see a female Doctor in the near future! That's almost as strange as making Felix Leiter bla . . . forget I said that.

Okay people, I have many things to say to many of you on the topic of Dr. Who.
First of all, Bruce Russell:

There just might be one more reason why I'm (one of) your fave(s). (I know you love the Colonel better than me. That's okay. I understand. You've been busy planning 2IGTVCon 2008 so you don't have time for me.)
On the advice of a shadowy advocate, I won't say more. Do you need a bigger hint? I'll meet you in the blogosphere with the next clue if you do....
Second of all, Sith Apologist:

Well, you should be able to see from my sig. that I use a couple of the Master's lines now and again
I declare the Property of Transitive Cuteness must apply! Blushing smileys? really? What is the interweb coming to?
Not only do I think John Simm is cute, I have a giant crush on the "Doctor." Why oh why does he not really exist and pick me to fly around in the Tardis? Stupid reality!
Next of all, where are my UK people confirming for me the thing I asked about Tate? Hmmm? Or is that just you, sithy, seeing as how it may just be the three of us who watch the Doctor?

Well, Tate does do a comedy show, but I can't say I've ever actually watched it! I wasn't too impressed with her as Donna - she was just too loud and stupid in my mind to become an assistant. Maybe the past 'year' has changed her for the better? We can but hope so.
The 2007 Christmas special wasn't too bad - somewhere between 'The Poseidon Adventure' and a homage to the classic Who 'The Robots of Death' - all with Kylie squeezed in the middle. A Kylie sandwich, if you like. ...ok, I'll keep that line of thought for later.

Can't say that I was all that impressed with the Christmas special this year. Sithy makes a great description - though personally I found Kylie's performance to be a little stale (if one can follow the sandwhich theme)
I would add though that I think that David Tennant has it over Chris Eccleson and i eagerly waiting on the next season.
