Colonel,

Thank you for dispatching your special medical envoys with haste. They performed the first stage of their task with German efficiency. Fitting, since Germans comprised most of the team, which I expected given the nature of the science involved. I have just a few questions/requests/observations:

1. Is the pulsing multi-chromatic glow now emanating from Bride's womb normal?

2. We may need to use more sedative next time. Bride seems to recall parts of the procedure. I've convinced her, for now, to chalk the whole thing up to alien abduction. She seems to be buying this line so far, even though we don't live in a trailer park. That sort of thing happens all the time in the South, you know.

3. Early data indicates we could be looking at a level 10. If so, we'll of course have to implement the 'Sword Castle Protocols,' but we expected this going into operation 'Tater Tot.'

4. I noticed after donning the special 'They Live'-style glasses you provided that the 'Guinness for Strength' sign I still have from my bachelor days actually reads 'Guinness for World Domination.'

All for now. Courage.

-B

1. Yes

2. I know. I've met one of the races that do that on a regular basis. Nice folk really.

3. Well it was more a case that it was budgeted for as opposed to expected. We were hoping just to use those figures on paper and use the actual funding to buy more cake. I like cake.

4. FUCK!!! Those are the wrong glasses!!! FUCK!!! Those are the glasses for seeing Bono in his true form; I.e. The Son of God! I'll dispatch the proper ones tomorrow.

Mnnnnn . . . cake . . . . [drools uncontrollably].

UPDATE: Everything is looking good from our last appointment with the 'regular' obstetrician, although I hadn't the heart to inform him of the recent involvement of Herr Doktor Albuminkleber and his team. However, our ob. was somewhat distressed to discover within Bride's womb, along with a healthy eight week old fetus, an object that could best be described as a small 'ray gun,' and an annotated map of the European mainland. Also, he was taken aback by my sudden outburst of manical cackling upon the revelation of the same.

Bride, as usual, just turned her head and thought of Narnia.

OK, we'll be in gay Paree starting this Wednesday. Anybody in the area, let me know.

We're going over for three reasons:
1) My wife has never been overseas.
2) It is our first wedding anniversary on the 17th. (Hey, give us a shout out on the show, please. That will please my bride, whose name is Shannon.)
3) We figure this will be our last chance to have a 'grown-up' trip, what with the imminent arrival of the 'Wonder-Tot.'

Wish us luck!

It's a boy! Still due August 22. Still 100% healthy. We're probably going with Bruce III, but the floor remains open. There's some talk now of going with Clark. We'll see. Thoughts?

I think that this website is cool - it tells you the popularity of baby names based on Social Security data.

http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/

The data goes back to 1880:

Bruce was most popular in 1952.
Clark was most popular in 1881.
Mark was most popular 1959-1964

Here's what it said when I entered "Ciaran" in the space:
"Ciaran is not in the top 1000 names for any year of birth in the last 250 years.
Please enter another name."

I went to college with a guy whose name was Kieren Donohue, from NYC. He pronounced his name 'KEER-uhn.'

I daresay Ciarán would be just as unique as Constance in your data. Unlike unimaginative names like Bruce and Mark Razz

Constance, Prudence, Grace, Chastity. All all a step up from Bambi, Staci Catlynn. Bring back those virtue based names, I say.

I've joked for years that I'd name a male heir 'Bruce H. Russell III: The Search for Spock,' whcih would certainly be memorable.

Other options:

'Bruce H. Russell III: This Time It's Personal'

'BR3'

'Bruce Russell Forever'

'Bruce Russell in Enter the Flagon'

Lucas is actually in the running, but I think you giving it voice still qualifies you in the as-yet-to-be formally announced contest.

After hearing the most recent 2Igtv ep, I immediately tried thinking of any names that could work.

But then the name "Jack" popped into my head and I couldn't think of anything else.

So unless you and your wife are dog enthusiasts, you should probably avoid the name, "Jack Russell".

Smile
