That is a good reason - but I'm still holding out. For some reason I am rooting for Sony and Blu Ray, but I have no rational reason other than higher capacity for the Blu Top.

Rooting for Sony!?! I suppose you eschew the iPod in favour of the digital Walkman? Maybe you should get yourself a t-shirt that reads 'I'm in league with the Axis.' You poor misguided sod . . .
The new HD Trek. Wow. I checked out 'the Menagerie' at the recent U.S. theatrical event, and man, did they do a nice job on the conversion. The new fx are 'the bomb-diggity,' and I hear THEY'VE EVEN MADE THE GORN BLINK! Can't wait to get these, and they are in dual-format, so I can enjoy them in virtual HD while I await my upgrade.

Truth be told, I can't tell much of a difference with the upconvert technology contained in most SDVD players these days.
Then again, I still listen to my favorite songs on my trusty old Edisonphone.
That things a bitch for jogging, tho', let me tell you.
